Hi all Orienteering Families,
The 2015 Sass Peepre National Junior Orienteering Training Camp will be in New Brunswick from August 17 - 19. Take advantage of the Early Bird rate - register your kids by June 30. Regular fees are in effect from July 1 until the final registration deadline of August 15. Click here to register.
For those who don't know, the Sass Peepre Committee is the junior development arm of Orienteering Canada, and we organize the annual national junior training camp. The Sass Peepre Camp (SPC) is intended for orienteers aged 11-20 and all levels of experience from beginner to advanced. Beginners should have tried at least a few orienteering events before. This year the camp will run out of the Broadleaf Guest Ranch, 10 minutes from Hopewell Rocks. Check out the camp locale: http://www.broadleafranch.com
SPC 2015 is a great opportunity for young orienteers to connect with their peers from across Canada and the US while enjoying some terrific training. Again this year we have a great team of volunteer coaches, cooks and drivers led by Kitty Jones who together make the camp an amazing experience. With the Canadian Long and Sprint Championships as well as two more Fishbones events happening after the camp, it is an excellent opportunity to hone orienteering skills. Don't miss out!
Of course, don't forget to sign up for the Canadian Orienteering Championships: three national level events in three provinces, with the added benefit of 3 Fishbones events AND the HPP Fundraiser: an orienteering event when the tide is out at Hopewell Rocks! 8 days of awesome orienteering - what could make your summer better? Regular registration rates for the COCs are in effect until July 3rd. More details are here: http://www.coc2015.ca/
