World Rankings Events - new -
The COC sprint, middle and long events are World Ranking Events sanctioned by the International Orienteering Federation. All athletes who participate in World Ranking Events need to create a user account for themselves in IOF Eventor before taking part in the event. This is a new process for 2015.
This applies to all male athletes competing on the men’s elite course and all female athletes competing on the women’s elite course.
This is what to do: Go to eventor.orienteering.org and click on Create user account. Choose the first option: “I am an athlete participating in events”. After filling in your information, if you have earlier participated in WREs, IOF Eventor will ask you: “Are you this and this person”? You will then have to choose yourself on the list, and your account will be merged with your results. User guides for IOF Eventor can be found here.
Making changes to your COC registration
It’s not a trivial matter to change your entries once they’ve been accepted. If you do need to make a change, email the registrar (registrar AT coc2015 DOT ca) and we’ll sort out the best way to handle your request. Sorry, only minor changes after entries close on July 29 and they will be accepted at the discretion of the organizers / on the availability of maps, start slots etc., and may incur a nominal fee.
Refunds
Refunds will be made less a $25 charge for administration until June 3, 2015. Refunds will be made less a $75 charge for administration from June 4 to Aug 14. No refunds are available after August 15. Refunds will be made by cheque (unfortunately we’ve no way of refunding your credit card). This should be no problem for North American entries but for overseas entries there may be complications and an additional fee may be charged to cover costs of international money orders or other payments methods.
No refunds will be provided if the event cannot be held or is interrupted due to extreme weather or other emergency situations beyond the control of event organizers. We thank you for your understanding.
Eligibility
All classes are open to all competitors of the appropriate age. However medal winners (gold, silver and bronze) of the Canadian Orienteering Championships (the championship classes) shall be only those who are full members of the provincial/territorial associations and who are:

All medal winners must be prepared to submit proof of eligibility.
Prizes will also be given to the top three finishers regardless of eligibility for the medals.
